Engagement
This is a story for the books.I do not know where to begin. My now fiancé and I were visiting Switzerland for my birthday and a surprise engagement! I contacted Titin through Instagram and she replied right away. She began by finding out more about us as a couple, our backgrounds, things we loved to do together, what we had been through together, and what I was looking for in a photoshoot. We had then exchanged messages, a few phone calls and through these exchanges, I felt that I was talking more to a friend than someone I was hiring to take pictures. The day finally came where we would meet at the agreed location, but they would not let us in because we had not transferred our Covid documents for a Swiss Covid certificate. I was freaking out to say the least. My fiancé was tired, frustrated, and hungry from traveling all day. The time was getting closer and closer to our shoot and we could not get in and I didn't know what to do. So I texted Titin and told her our situation. She texted a few minutes later and told me to come back to security. I told Madi, my fiancé, to try to get in one more time, to trust me. She reluctantly said ok. As we walk up to security I see Titin. As we walk up she immediately interjects and asks, 'are you american? I work here and showing tourists around and introducing them to Swiss culture.' So she brings us to the location where I wanted to propose, but like I said, Madi and I were both tired and extremely hungry. I told Titin that we needed to eat first before she 'showed us around'. Without hesitation she fully embraced the role of 'tour guide'. She brought us food and some warm drinks. After that, we were feeling much better and I started taking selfies so that Titin knew it was her que to start our photoshoot. She offered to take pictures with her own camera that she conveniently had 😆. Then she asked if she could take pictures of Madi by herself looking at the tree. As Madis back was toward us, I kneeled on one knee behind her. Titin waited a few minutes so that the crowd would take notice of what was about to happen. She told Madi to turn around and there I was on one knee, beautifully lit Christmas tree behind us and a crowd anxiously awaiting her response. When she said yes, the crowd was cheering, Titin was capturing all of it. I can't say enough how lucky and grateful I am to have found a photographer like Titin. Everything that I had imagined for this moment came to life and expectations exceeded because of Titin. The experience was beautiful and on top of all that, she took amazing photos. Thank you for reading and if you're considering hiring Titin to capture you're moments, you will not be disappointed.
